HPP737 is a novel, potent, orally administered small molecule that acts as a selective phosphodiesterase type 4 (PDE4) inhibitor. It was discovered by vTv Therapeutics and is being developed for the treatment of inflammatory diseases such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). HPP737 demonstrates increased selectivity for the PDE4B2 isoform over PDE4D, with limited central nervous system penetration and higher potency compared to currently approved PDE4 inhibitors.
