HPV antigen-loaded dendritic cell-activated cytotoxic T lymphocytes is an autologous adoptive cell therapy developed by the Shenzhen Ruipuxun Academy for Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine for the treatment of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infections. The production process involves isolating peripheral blood mononuclear cells from the patient, differentiating them into dendritic cells (DCs), and loading them with HPV-specific antigens, such as the E6 and E7 oncoproteins. These DCs are then used to prime and expand a population of the patient's own T cells into HPV-specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) ex vivo. Upon re-infusion, these activated CTLs recognize and destroy HPV-infected cells by binding to viral antigens presented on the cell surface, thereby potentially clearing persistent infections and preventing the progression to cervical malignancy.
