Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MolGenie is developing small molecule targeted protein degraders that target the HPV E7 oncoprotein for the treatment of HPV-related cancers, including cervical and head and neck cancers. These compounds utilize MolGenie's proprietary PromptDegrader™ technology, which specifically targets the Intrinsically Disordered Regions (IDRs) of the E7 protein to induce its degradation. Unlike traditional PROTACs, this technology does not rely on a single E3 ligase. The development of these degraders involved ultralarge-scale database screening of multi-component reaction (MCR) products and 3D docking experiments with an elaborated model of the E7 protein. Valdospan GmbH is slated to lead the further development of this program.
