HPV-specific DC-CIK cell therapy is an autologous cellular immunotherapy being investigated for the treatment of refractory condyloma acuminatum (genital warts) caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV). The therapy involves the generation of dendritic cells (DCs) pulsed with HPV-specific antigens, such as E6 and E7 proteins, to prime and activate cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cells. CIK cells are a heterogeneous population of T lymphocytes (typically CD3+CD56+) with potent non-MHC-restricted cytolytic activity. By combining the antigen-presenting capabilities of DCs with the cytotoxic power of CIK cells, the therapy aims to specifically target and eliminate HPV-infected cells. In clinical studies, it is often evaluated in combination with interferon-α to enhance the antiviral immune response and reduce recurrence rates in patients who have failed conventional treatments.
