HPV16 E7 peptide vaccine is a therapeutic immunotherapy designed to stimulate the host's immune system to recognize and eliminate cells expressing the Human Papillomavirus 16 (HPV16) E7 oncoprotein. The E7 oncoprotein is constitutively expressed in HPV16-associated cancers, such as cervical cancer and vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia, and is essential for maintaining the malignant phenotype of these cells. The vaccine typically consists of synthetic peptides derived from the E7 protein, which are presented to the immune system to induce a cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) response against HPV16 E7-expressing tumor cells. These vaccines are often administered with adjuvants to enhance the immune response.
