Drug intelligence / Profile preview
hPV19 is a monoclonal antibody (mAb) that targets vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). It binds to human VEGF at a unique binding site, inhibiting the activity of VEGF. This mechanism is intended to block angiogenesis, the process by which new blood vessels form from pre-existing vessels, which is critical for tumor growth and metastasis. hPV19 is being investigated as an anti-angiogenic therapy in oncology settings[1].
