Overview

HR003 (anti-BCMA CAR-T cell injection) is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Shanghai Hrain Biotechnology (Hengrundasheng) for the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma (r/r MM). The therapy consists of patient-derived T cells genetically engineered to express a CAR targeting B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), a protein highly and specifically expressed on the surface of malignant plasma cells. Upon infusion, these modified T cells selectively bind to BCMA-expressing myeloma cells, triggering T-cell activation, proliferation, and targeted cytotoxicity. HR003 has been granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation by China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) and is currently in Phase 2 clinical development.
