Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HRO350 is a first-in-class, orally administered investigational drug developed for the treatment of mild-to-moderate psoriasis. It consists of a complex polar lipid matrix extracted from immature herring roe (Clupea harengus), with phospholipids rich in marine polyunsaturated fatty acids as its active pharmaceutical ingredient (API). The main component, known as PEHeRo (phospholipid esters from herring roe oil), is naturally present in the human diet. While the precise mechanism of action is not fully elucidated, preclinical and cellular studies indicate that HRO350 may exert immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effects relevant to psoriasis pathogenesis. The drug is being evaluated in phase 2b clinical trials across multiple European countries to determine its efficacy, safety profile, and optimal dosing for patients with mild-to-moderate psoriasis[1][2][3][4][5][6][7].
