Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HRS-3005 is an investigational small molecule inhibitor of B-cell lymphoma 2 (BCL-2) being developed by Jiangsu HengRui Medicine. BCL-2 is a pro-survival protein that is frequently overexpressed in various B-cell malignancies, where it prevents apoptosis (programmed cell death) of cancer cells. By selectively binding to and inhibiting BCL-2, HRS-3005 aims to restore the apoptotic pathway and induce cell death in malignant B-cells. It is currently being evaluated in Phase I clinical trials for the treatment of B-cell malignancies, including chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and non-Hodgkin lymphomas. As a next-generation BCL-2 inhibitor, it is designed to offer high selectivity and potency while minimizing off-target effects.
