Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HRS-7525 is an orally bioavailable small molecule androgen receptor (AR) degrader being developed by Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer, including metastatic prostate adenocarcinoma. As a next-generation hormonal therapy, it is designed to overcome resistance mechanisms associated with traditional AR antagonists, such as AR mutations or the expression of AR splice variants (e.g., AR-V7). By inducing the degradation of the AR protein rather than simply blocking its ligand-binding site, HRS-7525 aims to provide more complete suppression of AR signaling. It is currently in Phase I clinical development in China, where its safety, tolerability, and preliminary antitumor efficacy are being evaluated in male patients with advanced disease.
