Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HRS6807 is a selective small molecule inhibitor of the voltage-gated sodium channel Nav1.8 (encoded by the SCN10A gene), currently under development by Fujian Shengdi Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals. Nav1.8 is a key mediator of nociceptive signaling in peripheral sensory neurons, and its selective inhibition is a promising strategy for treating pain without the side effects associated with non-selective sodium channel blockers or opioids. HRS6807 is being investigated for the management of various pain conditions, including postoperative pain, and has progressed into Phase 2 clinical trials in China.
