Overview

HRS9432 is a long-acting echinocandin-class antifungal small molecule developed for the treatment of invasive fungal infections, particularly invasive candidiasis and candidemia. It acts as an inhibitor of 1,3-beta-glucan synthase, an enzyme essential for fungal cell wall synthesis. The drug is administered intravenously and demonstrates linear pharmacokinetics with a long half-life (approximately 140 hours), supporting once-weekly dosing. Clinical studies have shown good safety and tolerability in healthy volunteers at doses ranging from 200 to 1200 mg. Its extended duration of action offers potential advantages in terms of patient compliance and convenience compared to existing echinocandins[1][5][6].
