Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HS-101 is a recombinant protein biologic based on the endogenous protein HAPLN1 (Hyaluronan and proteoglycan link protein 1), developed by HaplnScience for the treatment of osteoarthritis. The drug functions by modulating the Smad2/3 signaling pathway and interacting with the extracellular matrix (ECM) to promote tissue regeneration and maintain joint integrity. By addressing the underlying degenerative processes in the joint, HS-101 aims to provide a disease-modifying effect for patients with osteoarthritis. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
