Overview

HS-10390 is a novel small molecule drug in clinical development by Hansoh BioMedical R&D Company (also known as Changzhou Hansoh Pharmaceutical and Shanghai Hansoh Biomedical). It acts as a dual antagonist of the angiotensin II receptor type 1 (AT1R) and endothelin receptor type A (ETA), targeting both pathways implicated in kidney disease pathogenesis. The primary indication under investigation is IgA nephropathy, with additional research in focal segmental glomerulosclerosis. The drug is administered orally and has reached Phase 2 clinical trials for glomerular diseases. Its mechanism involves blocking AT1R to inhibit the effects of angiotensin II, reducing vasoconstriction and inflammation, while ETA antagonism counteracts endothelin-mediated vasoconstriction and fibrosis[1][2][3].
