HS-10506 is a high-affinity, selective orexin 2 receptor (OX2R) antagonist developed by Jiangsu Hansoh Pharmaceutical for the treatment of insomnia and depressive disorders. It is an orally administered small molecule drug that has demonstrated good safety and tolerability in phase I clinical trials, with a favorable pharmacokinetic profile and dose-dependent somnolence as its primary pharmacodynamic effect. The drug is currently in phase Ib/II clinical development for insomnia in adults in China. Its mechanism of action involves antagonism of the orexin 2 receptor, which plays a key role in regulating wakefulness and sleep[1][3][8].
