Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HS-10517 is an oral small molecule 3CL protease inhibitor developed to target SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19. It exhibits potent antiviral activity against SARS-CoV-2 delta and omicron variants. The drug was initially developed by Jiangsu Hansoh Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., which holds an exclusive license from Beijing Huayi Health Drug Discovery Institute (Global Health Drug Discovery Institute) to develop, manufacture, and commercialize this anti-SARS-CoV-2 candidate worldwide. HS-10517 is intended for the treatment of adult patients with mild to moderate COVID-19 infection. Its mechanism of action involves inhibition of the viral 3CL protease enzyme critical for viral replication.[1][5][9]
