Overview

HS-10518 is an orally active, small molecule gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) receptor antagonist being developed by Hansoh Pharmaceutical. It is designed to competitively bind to GnRH receptors in the anterior pituitary gland, thereby inhibiting the release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). This suppression of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis is a therapeutic strategy for hormone-dependent conditions such as endometriosis and uterine fibroids. In the context of female infertility, GnRH antagonists are utilized in assisted reproductive technology (ART) protocols to prevent premature LH surges during controlled ovarian stimulation. HS-10518 is currently undergoing Phase I clinical evaluation to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy premenopausal females.
