Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HS-10535 is an investigational preclinical oral small molecule glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor (GLP-1R) agonist developed by Hansoh Pharma. It is designed for the treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes and may have broader applications in cardiometabolic disorders. The drug acts as a GLP-1 receptor agonist to promote weight loss and improve metabolic parameters. In December 2024, Merck (MSD outside the US/Canada) obtained exclusive global rights to develop, manufacture, and commercialize HS-10535 outside China; Hansoh retains certain commercialization rights within China[1][4][5][6]. Preclinical data suggest potent GLP-1R activation with significant weight reduction in animal models[6]. The compound is structurally distinct from other oral GLP-1 agents such as orforglipron[6].
