Overview

HS-10582 is an investigational oral small molecule inhibitor of proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) developed by Jiangsu Hansoh Pharmaceutical. It is designed for the treatment of dyslipidemia, specifically targeting the reduction of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C). By inhibiting PCSK9, the drug prevents the degradation of LDL receptors on the surface of liver cells, thereby increasing the clearance of LDL-C from the bloodstream. As an oral agent, HS-10582 aims to provide a more convenient alternative to the injectable PCSK9 monoclonal antibodies currently on the market. It is currently in Phase I clinical development to evaluate its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy subjects and patients with mildly elevated LDL-C.
