Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HSA-GCSF 1.2 mg (also known as SFR-9314 or rHSA/GCSF) is a recombinant fusion protein consisting of recombinant human serum albumin (HSA) genetically fused to human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF). Developed by Tianjin SinoBiotech (Tianjin Puying Biotechnology) in collaboration with Beijing BioFortune (Beijing Meifuyuan Biomedical Technology) and Fortunerock, the drug is designed as a long-acting alternative to standard G-CSF. The fusion with HSA extends the half-life of G-CSF, allowing for less frequent dosing. HSA-GCSF 1.2 mg targets the granulocyte colony-stimulating factor receptor (CSF3R) to stimulate the production, maturation, and activation of neutrophils in the bone marrow. It is being developed for the prevention and treatment of chemotherapy-induced neutropenia, particularly in breast cancer patients undergoing myelosuppressive chemotherapy regimens.
