hsa-miR-6752-5p inhibitor is a type of RNA therapy designed to block the activity of the microRNA hsa-miR-6752-5p. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs that regulate gene expression. This specific miRNA was investigated for its potential role in regulating human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT), a key component of telomerase, as a strategy to inhibit telomerase activity for cancer treatment. While hsa-miR-6752-5p was identified as a miRNA that could interact with hTERT mRNA, a study indicated that its inhibition did not profoundly affect hTERT protein levels in MCF-7 breast cancer cells.
