Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**HSA-TPS** is an experimental human serum albumin conjugate of 3-amino-1-propanesulfonic acid designed as a brain-deliverable anti-amyloid therapeutic for mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. In published in vitro and acute amyloid-beta 1-42 rat-model studies, the conjugate inhibited amyloid-beta aggregation, reduced amyloid-beta-associated neurotoxicity and oxidative stress, entered the brain, lowered hippocampal amyloid-beta burden, and improved spatial learning and memory. It remains a preclinical research-stage asset with no identified clinical development program or marketed product. ([pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39805463/))
