Overview

HSD-1930 is a selective small molecule inhibitor of 11-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 (11β-HSD1), an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of inactive cortisone to active cortisol. Developed by Zhejiang Hisun Pharmaceutical, the drug is designed to treat metabolic disorders by reducing intracellular cortisol levels in the liver and adipose tissue, which in turn enhances insulin sensitivity and lowers blood glucose levels. It has been primarily investigated in clinical trials for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
