Overview

HSK45019 is a selective small molecule inhibitor of Tyrosine Kinase 2 (TYK2) developed by Shanghai Haisisenno Pharmaceutical Technology, a subsidiary of Haisco Pharmaceutical Group. It is currently in early-stage clinical development for the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), including ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. TYK2 is a member of the Janus kinase (JAK) family that plays a critical role in the signaling pathways of several key cytokines involved in immune-mediated inflammation, such as interleukin-12 (IL-12), interleukin-23 (IL-23), and Type I interferons. By targeting TYK2, HSK45019 aims to provide a targeted anti-inflammatory effect with a potentially improved safety profile compared to non-selective JAK inhibitors, which often carry risks related to the inhibition of JAK2 or JAK3.
