HSK51155 is an orally bioavailable small molecule calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor antagonist, commonly referred to as a "gepant," developed by Haisco Pharmaceutical Group. It is intended for the treatment of migraine, a neurological condition where CGRP plays a central role in pain transmission and vasodilation within the trigeminovascular system. By selectively binding to and antagonizing the CGRP receptor, HSK51155 inhibits the pro-inflammatory and vasodilatory effects of CGRP, thereby alleviating migraine symptoms. The drug is currently in early-stage clinical development, with Phase I trials evaluating its safety, pharmacokinetics, and the impact of food on its absorption in healthy adult volunteers.
