Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HSK60002 is an orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 6 (STAT6), currently under development by Haisco Pharmaceutical Group for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. STAT6 is a critical transcription factor in the IL-4 and IL-13 signaling pathways, which are central drivers of Type 2 inflammation and the pathogenesis of allergic diseases. By modulating STAT6 activity, HSK60002 aims to suppress the inflammatory cascade that leads to the skin barrier dysfunction and pruritus characteristic of atopic dermatitis. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase I clinical trials to determine its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamic effects in healthy volunteers.
