Overview

HSO-001 is a novel sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) adjuvant being developed by HISHOH Biopharma in collaboration with Daiichi Sankyo. It acts as a potent agonist of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), a key receptor involved in allergen recognition and the induction of immune responses. HSO-001 is designed to be administered sublingually in combination with existing allergen-specific immunotherapy treatments (such as those for house dust mite or cedar pollen) to enhance therapeutic efficacy and potentially shorten treatment duration. Preclinical data indicates that HSO-001 significantly boosts the production of antigen-specific IgG and IgA antibodies, demonstrating synergistic effects when used with allergens. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development for the treatment of various allergic diseases, including allergic rhinitis (hay fever), atopic dermatitis, and bronchial asthma.
