Overview

The **HSP105 peptide vaccine** is a cancer vaccine designed to stimulate the immune system, specifically cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs), against tumors that overexpress heat shock protein 105 (HSP105), such as colorectal cancer (CRC) and esophageal cancer (EC). It consists of short peptides (≤10 amino acids) derived from HSP105 and is restricted to patients with specific HLA types (HLA-A24 or HLA-A2). The vaccine has demonstrated induction of peptide-specific CTLs, accumulation of these cells at injection sites and tumor tissues, and correlation of CTL induction with improved progression-free and overall survival in a phase I clinical trial. The vaccine is administered intradermally with an adjuvant (Montanide ISA-51 VG)[1][2][4][6].
