The HSP70-derived peptide vaccine is a cancer immunotherapy consisting of a peptide fragment derived from Heat Shock Protein 70 (HSP70). HSP70 is a molecular chaperone that is frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors, where it contributes to protein stability and tumor cell survival. The vaccine is designed to stimulate the patient's immune system, specifically inducing a cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) response against tumor cells that present HSP70-derived epitopes on their surface. In clinical development, notably in the Phase I trial jRCTs061180058 in Japan, it is evaluated in combination with other agents such as GPC3-derived peptides, the LAG-3Ig fusion protein IMP321, and the TLR3 agonist Hiltonol (poly-ICLC) to enhance the overall antitumor immune response in patients with advanced or metastatic gastrointestinal and other solid cancers.
