Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**HST 003** is a human extracellular matrix (hECM) product developed by Histogen as a malleable scaffold for orthopedic tissue regeneration. It is implanted into microfracture interstices and cartilage defects during knee surgery to promote hyaline cartilage regeneration by stimulating the body's endogenous stem cells. Preclinical studies demonstrate its anti-inflammatory, angiogenic properties, and ability to induce mesenchymal stem cell proliferation while retaining stemness, leading to mature hyaline cartilage and vascularized bone formation in osteochondral lesion models.[1][2][3]
