Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HT-002 is a novel peptide therapeutic developed by researchers at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), including Dr. Michael Peters, and exclusively licensed by Hoth Therapeutics. It is designed to inhibit the SARS-CoV-2 virus by targeting its spike protein. The peptide acts as an ACE2 decoy, blocking the spike protein from binding to human ACE2 receptors and thereby preventing viral entry into cells. Its primary indication is for the treatment of COVID-19, including its variants.
