Overview

HT-006 is a novel antibiotic under development for the treatment of multi-drug resistant bacterial infections, with an initial focus on serious lung infections such as hospital-acquired pneumonia (HAP) and ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP). The drug is being developed by Hoth Therapeutics in collaboration with the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command. HT-006 features a novel antibacterial mechanism targeting multiple bacterial pathogens, aiming to address unmet medical needs where current therapies are limited or ineffective against resistant bacteria. Preclinical studies are underway to characterize its antimicrobial activity against various multi-drug resistant species, with plans to leverage streamlined FDA pathways for antibacterial therapies addressing serious diseases[2][8][10].
