HT-0712

HT-0712 is an experimental small molecule drug developed as a cognitive enhancer (nootropic) and anti-inflammatory agent. It acts as a selective phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitor, increasing intracellular cAMP levels in neurons, which leads to activation of cAMP response element-binding proteins (CREB). CREB are transcription factors involved in the formation of long-term memory. Preclinical studies have shown that HT-0712 enhances memory formation and ameliorates memory deficits in animal models, including those modeling age-associated memory impairment and Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome. The drug was originally discovered by Inflazyme Pharmaceuticals for its anti-inflammatory properties but has since been developed primarily for cognitive disorders by Dart NeuroScience. Clinical development has reached phase II trials for memory disorders[1][3][5][7].
