Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HT-10068 is a small molecule inhibitor of NIMA-related kinase 7 (NEK7) being developed by Halia Therapeutics. NEK7 is a critical regulatory protein required for the assembly and activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome, a multi-protein complex that mediates the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β and IL-18. Chronic activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome is a key driver of systemic inflammation in metabolic disorders. By targeting NEK7, HT-10068 is designed to modulate NEK7-driven pathways and suppress downstream inflammasome activity, offering a potential therapeutic approach for Type 2 Diabetes and Obesity.
