Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HT-202 is an investigational bispecific monoclonal antibody being developed by HepaThera Biotech for the treatment of chronic Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) infection. Designed as a T-cell engager, HT-202 simultaneously targets the Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) on infected hepatocytes and the CD3 receptor on T cells. This dual binding mechanism is intended to redirect T-cell-mediated cytotoxicity specifically toward HBV-infected cells, facilitating their clearance and potentially contributing to a functional cure for the disease. As of early 2024, the drug is in the preclinical stage of development, representing a novel immunotherapy approach within HepaThera's pipeline of biologics for chronic hepatitis B.
