Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HT-CCP stands for "high-titer COVID-19 convalescent plasma." It is a blood product collected from individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 and therefore possess a high concentration of antibodies against SARS-CoV-2. The primary use of HT-CCP is as a passive immunotherapy to treat or prevent severe COVID-19 in patients by providing them with exogenous antibodies capable of neutralizing the virus. This therapy relies on the principle that transfusing antibody-rich plasma can help recipients fight off infection more effectively, especially if administered early in the disease course[2]. The mechanism of action involves direct viral neutralization and possible modulation of immune responses.
