Overview

HT31-1 is a humanized monoclonal antibody developed by HTIC, Inc. for the treatment of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), specifically cases arising from infectious sources. The drug targets citrullinated histone H3 (CitH3), a key mediator of inflammation and tissue damage released during the formation of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs). By neutralizing CitH3, HT31-1 aims to reduce vascular leakage, systemic inflammation, and lung injury, thereby improving clinical outcomes in patients with respiratory failure. It is currently undergoing evaluation in a Phase 1/2A clinical trial to determine its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers and patients with mild-to-moderate ARDS.
