Overview

HTL-0022562 is a novel, potent, and highly selective small molecule antagonist of the calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor. It was discovered by Sosei Heptares (now Nxera Pharma) using structure-based drug design and developed as a potential therapy for CGRP-mediated disorders such as migraine. The compound demonstrated promising preclinical properties and entered Phase 1 clinical trials to assess safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy subjects. Development was later discontinued for migraine[1][4][6].
