Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HTX-IPT001 is an investigational, off-the-shelf cancer vaccine and senolytic immunotherapy candidate developed by HERVolution. It is a dual adenovirus-based advanced therapy medicinal product (ATMP) encoding a rationally engineered human endogenous retrovirus K (HERV-K) antigen with a mutated immunosuppressive domain (ISDmut). The vaccine is designed to break immune tolerance to HERV-K, which is reactivated in various cancers and senescent cells, thereby stimulating concurrent antigen-specific T-cell and B-cell immune responses. HERVolution is advancing HTX-IPT001 toward first-in-human clinical trials for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and metabolic disease, both planned to begin in 2027.
