Overview
Huafu Shengji Ointment is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) topical preparation developed for the treatment of chronic, non-healing wounds, specifically diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) associated with Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome. The formulation is based on the TCM therapeutic principle of "transforming necrosis and promoting tissue regeneration" (Huafu Shengji). It is designed to facilitate the debridement of necrotic tissue and stimulate the growth of new granulation tissue and epithelialization, thereby improving the complete healing rate of ulcer wounds. The ointment is currently being evaluated in randomized controlled trials, such as those conducted by the Beijing Daxing District Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine, to assess its efficacy and safety compared to standard antiseptic treatments like ethacridine lactate.
