Huajuhong (Exocarpium Citri Grandis) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) derived from the dried outer peel of the fruit of *Citrus grandis* 'Tomentosa' or *Citrus grandis* (L.) Osbeck. It is traditionally utilized for its antitussive, expectorant, and stomachic properties. In modern clinical research, it is being investigated by the Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine First Affiliated Hospital for the treatment of *Helicobacter pylori* (H. pylori) positive chronic gastritis. The therapeutic effects are attributed to its rich content of flavonoids, particularly naringin and rhoifolin, which exhibit anti-inflammatory and potential antimicrobial activities. The drug is typically administered orally as a botanical extract.
