Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Huangdan Yinchen Granules (Huangdan Yinchen Keli) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed and manufactured by Lanzhou Foci. Administered orally as granules, it is primarily indicated for the treatment of jaundice caused by damp-heat syndrome, which often manifests in conditions such as acute icteric hepatitis and cholecystitis. The formulation is based on a combination of herbs, most notably *Artemisia scoparia* (Yinchen), which is traditionally used to clear heat, promote diuresis, and stimulate bile flow (choleretic effect). Other components like *Scutellaria baicalensis* and *Rheum palmatum* contribute anti-inflammatory and purgative properties to help resolve the underlying damp-heat. Lanzhou Foci received supplemental approval for this product in 2016, and it remains a part of their marketed TCM portfolio.
