Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Huangming Jiao is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) gelatin prepared from the hide of cattle (Bos taurus domesticus). Developed and manufactured by Shandong Dong'e Ejiao, it is primarily used in TCM for its blood-nourishing and hemostatic properties. It is indicated for conditions such as hematemesis (vomiting blood), epistaxis (nosebleed), hematuria (blood in urine), and functional uterine bleeding. Unlike Ejiao, which is derived from donkey hide, Huangming Jiao is specifically cattle-hide based. It is typically administered orally and is available in various forms, including solid blocks or granules that are dissolved before consumption.
