Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Huangqi Xiaobai Granule (also known as Astragalus Xiaobai Granule) is a traditional Chinese medicine hospital preparation developed by Shuguang Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is formulated to treat proteinuria in patients with chronic kidney diseases, including chronic glomerulonephritis, IgA nephropathy, and diabetic nephropathy, particularly those presenting with spleen-kidney qi deficiency and damp-heat/stasis syndromes. The preparation is evaluated in clinical trials as an add-on therapy to conventional treatments (such as angiotensin receptor blockers like irbesartan or losartan) to reduce proteinuria and protect renal function.
