Overview

Huangzhi Yishen Capsule is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) therapeutic candidate developed by Lei Yun Shang Pharmaceutical Group for the treatment of diabetic kidney disease (DKD). The drug is specifically indicated for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who present with the TCM syndrome of qi-yin deficiency and blood stasis. As a multi-component herbal formulation, it is designed to address the complex pathophysiology of DKD by potentially tonifying vital energy (Qi) and nourishing Yin while promoting blood circulation to resolve stasis. It is currently undergoing Phase II clinical evaluation in China to assess its efficacy and safety in improving renal outcomes and managing symptoms associated with diabetic nephropathy.
