Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Huashi Jiangzhuo is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal decoction developed by Guang'anmen Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It is specifically formulated for the treatment of newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), targeting patients who present with 'damp-heat syndrome' according to TCM diagnostic criteria. The prescription is designed to clear heat and resolve dampness, addressing the underlying pathological factors believed to contribute to metabolic dysfunction in this patient population. It is currently being evaluated in multi-center randomized controlled clinical studies to provide evidence-based support for the efficacy and safety of TCM interventions in the management of diabetes.
