Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Huayu Sanjie Guanchangye is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) liquid formulation developed by Changhai Hospital (Affiliated to the Second Military Medical University) for the treatment of endometriosis. The name translates to "Blood-Stasis-Resolving and Nodule-Dissipating Enema Liquid." It is administered rectally as an enema to provide localized treatment for pelvic endometriotic lesions. In TCM theory, endometriosis is often characterized by blood stasis and the formation of pelvic masses (nodules); this formulation aims to promote blood circulation, resolve stasis, and shrink endometriotic lesions. Clinical studies, such as the prospective randomized case-control study ChiCTR-IPC-16008214, have investigated its therapeutic effect in reducing pain and preventing the progression of endometriosis.
