Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Huazhuo Tiaozhi granule (HTG) is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine formula widely used in clinical practice for its hypolipidemic effects. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of dyslipidemia and has demonstrated efficacy in reducing total cholesterol (TC) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels in both clinical and preclinical studies. The mechanism of action involves promoting histone lactylation in hepatocytes and downregulating miR-155-5p biogenesis, which contributes to improved lipid metabolism. HTG has also been shown to decrease hepatic lipid accumulation without causing significant adverse effects on liver or kidney function markers[1][2][4].
