Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HUC1-394 is a recombinant human protein-based ophthalmic solution being developed by Huons Co., Ltd. for the treatment of moderate to severe dry eye disease (DED). The therapeutic is designed to stabilize the tear film and promote the secretion of mucin, which helps protect the ocular surface and facilitate the repair of corneal epithelial damage. By enhancing the natural components of the tear film, HUC1-394 aims to provide a more comprehensive treatment for DED compared to standard lubricants. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase 2 clinical trial (NCT06116370) to determine the optimal dosing regimen and assess its efficacy and safety in adult participants.
