Overview

HUC2-676-R is a synthetic peptide and a reformulation variant of HUC2-676, developed by Huons Co., Ltd. for the treatment of obesity. It functions as a glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1RA), designed to be equivalent to liraglutide (Saxenda). The drug targets the GLP-1 receptor to promote insulin secretion, suppress glucagon secretion, and induce satiety through its action on the hypothalamus in the brain. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to compare its pharmacokinetics and safety profile with the original HUC2-676 formulation in healthy adult volunteers.
